The Longest Night

“A very believable and readable historical narrative” - The Open University

Prior James faces a long-awaited day as the English Reformation comes to the Priory Church of Saint Laurence in Snaith.

Forced to welcome Cromwell’s Commissioners into the church, he is pleasantly surprised to see they are fair, but not all of those present intend to give an easy ride to the catholics.

This story was written for my dissertation at the end of my first years of the Masters programme, and I am now pleased to offer it as a free sample of my work.
